What is Half-time? Support for those rough sleeping
Our Half-time service provides practical support and advice for those who are homeless and sleeping on the streets. Half-time is provided at sites across BCP including at St Mike’s Church, Poole Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5QU. The service includes: one-to-one appointments and advice, hot showers, laundry facilities, lockers, phone charging, and hot drinks and snacks. We work closely with our
Carpentry Workshop Trainees Build a Puppy Pen for Guide Dogs
Our Carpentry Workshop recently welcomed some extremely adorable guests of the canine kind. Here at FW we are honoured to work alongside many incredible charities such as Guide Dogs who commissioned a puppy pen to be handcrafted for use during puppy training. A huge thank you to Ridgewater Energy Ltd for their generous donation to the homelessness winter rucksack appeal - and thank you to Peter Bywater, Managing Director, for personally delivering their donation of thermal tops, merino wool socks, toiletries and crossword/puzzle books - these items will help equip wellbeing rucksacks for those moving on from sleeping on the streets.
