Families make up 80% of those who need the support of Poole Foodbank+
Poole Foodbank+ and Life Centre provides vital support to individuals and families in need.
Over 12 months, we distributed more than 57,000 meals – an increase of 20% on the previous year, demonstrating the continued challenges within our community.
Alongside food assistance, we strengthened our partnership with Faithworks CMA (Community Money Advice) to connect more people with debt management and budget support, helping them work toward financial stability.
Our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs: we aim to foster hope and resilience in the lives of those we serve.
Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and partners, we continue to be a source of nourishment, support, and empowerment for our community.
This review highlights our collective impact over the past year and our commitment to building a stronger future together.

Stuart’s Story
After three years of homelessness, Stuart* walked into Poole Foodbank looking for a fresh start.
We provided him with essential food supplies, basic cooking equipment, and a set of workwear to help him prepare for a new chapter.
Through our connections, Stuart spoke with Shelter, who guided him through the process of finding stable housing.
During his visits, he often received prayer and found comfort in the encouragement he felt from our team.
This support enabled him to reconnect with family, enrol in a college course created in partnership with Faithworks Training and lead straight into an apprenticeship with a major boat builder in Poole.
Now, with a place to call home and a promising career path, Stuart is building a future filled with hope and opportunity.
His journey is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we come together to offer compassion, practical, relational and spiritual help.

“I went to the Foodbank full of fear and was about to give up. I thought I was just getting a food parcel, but they did so much more.
They really care, gave us guidance and ways to rebuild our life.” – Foodbank Guest

Poole Foodbank+ Services
Poole Foodbank+ is about more than just food. We believe community is essential and provide a relaxed environment where you can chat with the team about debt advice, budget support and other agencies who visit regularly.
Our support includes: emergency food, Community Money Advice Debt Advice and Budget Support, Recipe Bags, school uniform support and signposting for further support.
Thank You & Looking Forwards
In the coming year, we are evolving from Poole Foodbank+ to Poole Life Centre, expanding our mission to provide even more holistic support.
While continuing to address urgent food needs, our vision is to grow the Life Centre to include community activities, workshops and social events that bring people together, creating connections that strengthen our community.
Poole Life Centre will offer relational, practical and spiritual help to inspire hope and resilience. We will also connect individuals with financial guidance, life skills training, and essential partnerships, helping them build a path toward stability and resilience.
This transition enables Poole Life Centre to be a welcoming space where people find immediate support, together with the tools to create a stronger, more hopeful future.

Here at Faithworks we commit ourselves to take as much time as needed to help an individual get to a place of resilience – it may take over a year to help someone get free from the huge burden of debt.
We won’t stand still – we try new things and look for better ways to do what we do: we have opened a new venue for our Homelessness work; and started new training courses.
We will stay true to our values of being Welcoming, Alongside, Trusted, Practical and Empowering. And we’ll keep trusting God every step of the way.
We need your support. We are looking for individual donors to commit to giving £20 per month for 20 months to help write the next chapter of the Faithworks story. Will you join us by setting up a standing order?
