Arch Training – practical skills for a brighter future, building confidence and opening doors to education and employment.

“Arch Training has completely changed my life for the better!” – Trainee

What is Arch Training?
We are here to inspire people to overcome the barriers that they face in life.
Alongside increased confidence, purpose and connection, our practical courses open doors directly into education, volunteering and employment.
Trainees can access support with their welfare and development at every stage of their learning, and after their course has finished.
We welcome course/placement sponsorships, community bookings on a Pay It Forward approach, commissioned work, and further ideas of working together – contact Rob Cox at rob.cox@faith-works.org.uk or 07514 816429.
DIY Confidence
Gain practical skills in a supportive, hands-on setting. Learn how to choose the right tool for the job, work safely with hand tools and drills, and develop the core skills needed for everyday home projects.
A dedicated support worker is on site to help participants consider next steps, including pathways into further education.

“Best course I’ve done yet. I’ve learnt so much. I want to do more and am taking on projects at home.” – SMILE Mum.

“The workshop has been pivotal in C’s growth and rehabilitation. It has provided vocational skills and been a catalyst for positive change.” – Probation Officer
Carpentry Skills
Learn carpentry skills in a practical and supportive setting.
A dedicated support worker runs one-to-one sessions, life skills groups, and helps trainees plan next steps, including pathways into college or employment.
Trainees keep diaries, complete practical and online assessments, and receive a certificate on completion.
PPE and lunch provided.
Barista Skills
Build practical coffee-making skills and grow confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving in a hands-on, supportive environment.
Our practical courses open doors directly into education, volunteering and employment – finish the course assured not just in coffee, but in your skills to work, learn, and succeed.

“This course has given me a real skill and a reason to look forward to each week. I’ve gained confidence, learned something new, and feel excited about future opportunities.” – Barista Trainee
