Free Wills Month: Impact Lives Through Faithworks Legacy Giving
Free Wills Month
Over two fifths of UK adults have not written a Will.*
Free Wills Month takes place every March and October, and provides a way for people over the age of 55 to have a Will written free of charge.
The campaign enables people to create a lasting impact by leaving a gift in their Will for their chosen charity.
However, appointments are limited and can fill up rapidly making it a challenge to qualify for the scheme.
Faithworks Legacy Programme
With the Faithworks Legacy programme, we are pleased to provide a paid for Wills writing service, available all year round.
Run in partnership with local solicitors Coles Miller, the service provides easy access to local, trusted solicitors to guide you through the process.
Our Legacy Giving enables our supporters, over the age of 50, to have a Will written with Faithworks covering the cost.
“Charities rely on the generosity of their supporters, and gifts in Wills account for over 50% of a charity’s income in many cases.” – Free Wills Month
How Your Legacy Can Help

Your gift enables us to expand our crucial services for those battling financial or food poverty, lone parenting or homelessness. This might include a community meal, or a trainee opportunity for those moving on from homelessness. A gift could fund a new van to transport essential food or furniture, or it could pay for new team members to expand our projects.
“I cannot put into words how much SMILE has helped me! Having to start again with four children on my own and being homeless, to then having a beautiful place to call home.” – SMILE Lone Parent
- £4,000 will pay for our SMILE Lone Parent Fair and summer activities for lone parent families for one year.
- £25,000 will help to provide secure accommodation for a homeless family or 3 individuals.
- £100,000 will fund our core debt advice service for 2 years, helping lift 50 households out of debt and into financial resilience.
“You have transformed my whole life… I’m sleeping better, I don’t feel as stressed, I feel in control of at least one thing in my life.” – CMA service user
You can contact any Will provider to make a Will and leave a gift to us, however to benefit from our Free Wills Service, you will need to do this through Coles Miller.
