Homelessness Winter Rucksack Appeal 2024
Urgent homelessness winter rucksack appeal to help those moving on from rough sleeping:
Here at Faithworks we want to see an end to all forms of homelessness including the abuse that is so often experienced by those sleeping on the streets.
We want people to not just find a roof over their heads, but a secure home and community where they can start to live life to the full, in safety and with dignity.
One of the ways that we are equipping people to start this journey off the streets, is through our Winter Rucksack Campaign.
Kitted out with daily essentials as well items such as diaries and writing implements to help people adjust to a more structured way of life.
David Chidwick, Faithworks Homelessness Services Lead, explained:
“These rucksacks are designed for those moving off the streets, either through our SafeSleep scheme or when SWEP* is activated during extreme weather conditions.
Each rucksack contains essentials but also items intended to show love and care.”
