Poole Town FC Partner With Poole Foodbank to Help Tackle Food Poverty
Poole Foodbank+ have formed a new partnership with Poole Town FC in order to help tackle food poverty together.
Poole Town FC kicked things off by dedicating a match to the town’s Foodbank and asked match supporters to bring food items to donate to help with seasonal stocks over the winter period, which they did in great style!
Poole Foodbank+ provide much more than just food. The café-styled environment provides a safe, welcoming space for people to chat with the team and connect with other services such as debt advice or housing and homelessness support.
Poole Town FC are not content to simply score goals but tackle food poverty at the same time, and on an ongoing basis.
Ben Edgell, Poole Town FC Commercial Manager, explained:
“As a Football Club this is about supporting our local community throughout the year, and we know especially throughout winter the struggles this can cause to individuals and families in difficulty.
Poole Town FC will continue to partner with local organisations to ensure no one in the community goes hungry”
Poole Foodbank+ provides emergency food and essential support to individuals and families in crisis. Their work relies on community donations, volunteer efforts and partnerships with local organisations to work towards finding long-term solutions to food poverty.
