Family Fun Day Brings Wimborne Community Together

Families in Wimborne enjoyed entertainment, activities and food at Wimborne Foodbank’s successful Family Fun Day held as part of Wimborne Town of Culture 2026.

The community celebration drew families together for a varied programme of live performances, outdoor games, competitions and refreshments, supported by local organisations and volunteers. Jamie Jigsaw held a fun, interactive circus skills workshop followed by a performance, and Mad4Animals had an animal show and opportunity to hold snakes and hedgehogs.

Radio Wimborne provided music and compering throughout the event, while New Life Community Church Wimborne ran the Beat the Bar competition and outdoor games. Millstream Theatre delivered a series of heartfelt performances, and The Friendly Food Club served vegetable kebabs to visitors. The event was officially opened by the Town Crier and Deputy Mayor, joined by the Young Mayor and Mini Town Crier.

A huge thank you to all the entertainers, activity providers, food vendors and the team of volunteers who worked in the heat to help make the day a success.
