Morebus provides mystery bus tour for solo parent families
Thanks to support from Morebus, SMILE will be creating a special mystery tour for teens and their parent this summer as part of its six-week holiday programme.
SMILE runs a six-week holiday programme over the summer and relies on donations from local individuals and businesses to run these events. The support from Morebus community fund allows SMILE to put on a special mystery tour for the teens and their parent. It will be a surprise adventure, where they board a bus without knowing the destination!
“These tickets will help provide teenagers with valuable one-to-one time with their parent, while giving them the chance to get away from the everyday stresses of life.” – Lucy, SMILE Events & Volunteer Co-ordinator
Transport can be a huge barrier for many solo parent families, and a day out like this would be completely out of reach without the generous support from Morebus, who visited SMILE’s coffee morning to celebrate this exciting venture.
Richard Wade, Morebus general manager, said: “This kind of experience can make a huge difference to the wellbeing of families across our region, and I’m happy we are able to help. I wish them a thoroughly enjoyable day and hope the memories they create will stay with them for some time to come.”
