Nourish Celebrated at Blandford Business Awards
A huge congratulations to Nourish Community Larder and Foodbank on being given the Community Service Award at Blandford Business Awards!
The event recognises enterprising local businesses and organisations that have made a significant contribution to the local economy, business innovation and community spirit.
One nominee for Nourish wrote: “No one knows what’s round the corner in these hard times and they were a lifeline to me and my family as we struggled. Please give them this award.”
Last year Nourish supported nearly 1,000 people across Blandford and the DT11 area, through the Foodbank and Community Larder. Based within the United Reformed Church, the welcoming café area provides a safe space for people to connect with additional support such as The Money Course and cooking courses, while building community to help reduce social isolation and loneliness.
A special thank you to the over 50 dedicated volunteers who support our staff team, and all those who support us through regular giving, we couldn’t do this without you!
