Joyful January – New beginnings across Faithworks

The new year can be a difficult time for many. After the pressures of Christmas and the dark winter weeks, January often brings uncertainty and financial strain for many.

Across all Faithworks projects, our frontline teams see this every year.  Looking back as we enter Spring, we see how the start of 2026 brought real progress for people too.

Many people who come to Faithworks are navigating complex situations. Some face homelessness, others struggle with debt or unstable work, and many arrive simply needing practical support.

Thanks to the dedication of staff and volunteers, people were able to access help, advice, and opportunities to move forward.

During January alone:

  • 7 people moved into safe and secure accommodation
  • 2 people entered employment
  • 14 people started training courses

Each of these numbers represents a meaningful step forward.

Rob Cox, Communications Manager at Faithworks, said: “Every month at Faithworks the incredible frontline teams help people achieve truly life-changing progress.

January is a hard month for many, so to see such important milestones reached gives great hope for the year ahead.”

For those individuals, these steps bring stability, confidence, and independence. A secure home, a job, or new skills opens the door to a brighter future.

These figures are only part of the picture. Many other steps happen quietly every day and they matter just as much.

Faithworks works at the intersection of immediate relief and long-term transformation. We do not just respond to crisis; we walk alongside people, helping them regain control, make decisions with confidence, and take steps that build resilience for the future. Our approach combines practical support with guidance, connection, and encouragement, creating a space where people can move from surviving to shaping their own lives.

Joyful moments like these happen because people choose to stand with their community. You can support more progress by volunteering, donating, or learning more about the work of Faithworks below…
