Leadership job roles available in Blandford and Poole to build hope, support and community
We currently have 2 paid job vacancies – Manager of Nourish Community Larder and Foodbank, and Deputy Manager of Poole Lifecentre and Foodbank.

Nourish Community Larder and Foodbank Manager
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £16.01 per hour equivalent to £30,800 PA (if full-time), plus 6% employer contribution to pension
What is Nourish Community Larder and Foodbank?
Nourish is about much more than just food – we provide practical, relational and spiritual support. Our relaxed café area creates a safe space to meet new people, enjoy free hot drinks and snacks, and chat with other agencies for advice and support. What does the role involve?
As Nourish Manager, you’ll create a warm, hope-filled space offering low‑cost food, crisis support, community meals, advice links and opportunities for people to reconnect and rebuild.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, support and grow a brilliant team of staff and volunteers
- Build strong partnerships with churches, councils and local agencies
- Oversee daily operations, safeguarding and service quality
- Share stories, promote Nourish and help shape its future
- Offer gentle spiritual support, including prayer when welcomed

- Experienced in leading teams in community/charity settings
- Has great communication and emotional intelligence
- Confident in managing volunteers and partnerships
- Organised, proactive and compassionate

Poole Lifecentre and Foodbank Deputy Manager
Hours: 20-24 hours per week
Salary: £14.33 per hour equivalent to £27,571 PA (if full-time), plus 6% employer contribution towards pension

People walk through the doors of Poole Lifecentre for many reasons – some need food or debt advice, others seek company, housing support, or simply someone to listen. The Lifecentre is for everyone – a vibrant place, combining a busy foodbank and a network of essential services. We’re looking for a dynamic, compassionate Deputy Manager to help lead our team and ensure guests receive not just food but hope and practical support.
What does the role involve?
As Deputy Manager, you’ll help lead a vibrant, grace-filled team, ensuring guests receive not just food but hope, practical support, and community. You will manage day-to-day operations, inspire volunteers, build partnerships, and create a welcoming space where lives are transformed.
