Faithworks Arch Recovery

Daily stability for your journey ahead

Problems relating to addiction, homelessness and destructive habits are growing. They can affect mental and physical wellbeing, of both the individual, and those around them.

We believe that, with someone to journey alongside, there is hope.  Our Arch Recovery programme offers supported daily activities which create routine, offer practical and emotional support, friendship, purpose and help with access to services. Through our activities we regularly see and are able to celebrate progressive outcomes.

Our activities are hosted in safe spaces and positive community environments – both key elements to help individuals create a solid platform to progress from at their own pace.  Referrals can be made by external agencies, in-house or individuals are able to self-refer.

We offer a range of support for those in addiction and those affected by someone else’s addiction under the banner of Faithworks Arch Recovery including:

  • Purposeful activities throughout the week.
  • Bespoke 1:1 support and action planning for the recovery journey with our team of support workers.
  • Resources from the STAR (Steps to Active Recovery) charity such as the STAR Life Course and the STAR Life Support Group.

Arch Training: Practical Placements

Our Trainee programme is for those who are ready to move towards learning skills and increasing employability.  We provide placements in our Carpenters Workshop, Storehouse and Gardening Teams. Following an initial eligibility assessment, we offer a 3-month trainee placement with a unique plan to learn practical and life skills, build confidence, and increase readiness for employment.

Our Carpenters Workshop makes high-quality recycled wooden products for our Doorstop Shop. Our garden team maintains the gardens of vulnerable older people and carers, and provides essential grounds maintenance for several local churches.

Invest in a Home

We partner with Hope into Action to provide homes for those escaping homelessness. Local investors buy a property and then lease it to Faithworks; working alongside local churches individuals or families to build a home, friendships and find confidence for the future.

“People don’t just need shelter; they need a home: a place of safety & friendship.”
