SMILE Eat the Fruit of their Labour

SMILE were recently joined on their day out by volunteers from JP Morgan.  The lone parent families project returned to our friends at Project Manna for woodland and river fun. The day included feeding the sheep, kayaking on the river, toasting marshmallows over a firepit and decorating flower pots.

It also provided an opportunity to see how the fruit trees have grown since SMILE families planted them. A few of the group took time to inspect the orchard and provide quality control on the organic produce!

SMILE days out provide free or affordable activities for lone parent families to enjoy together. Activities have included watersports days with paddle boarding, swimming and beach days, volunteering at Project Manna and much more!

A huge thank you to Project Manna for providing such a fun and creative day out and to all the amazing volunteers from JP Morgan.
